30-09-2-14           Ext®eme / p®ejudi©e

'This may have been my mission', Martin Sheen's Captain Willard says it better in Coppola's Apocalyse Now of his nefarious trip to exterminate Colonel Kurtz's mission, with ext®eme / p®ejudi©e, 'but it sure as hell was / the Captain's boat', and your humble / humbled / humiliated narrator of this Take This Thing Back to Baltimore me-moirs and ext®eme / p®ejudi©e  may have bought and paid for this cindominium up on out on up in here, but it is sure as hell is your men the cats  Itchy and Scratchy's / crib, ext®eme / p®ejudi©e is all / we gots.

If looks could kill, this edition of this Take This Thing Back to Baltimore me-moirs and ext®eme / p®ejudi©e  would be after being written by / a dead man, the result of the look that your man Scratchy the cat sent Cin's way this morning, upon discovering that he and his brother Itchy were in their travelling cages, and on their way back, with Himself, to their previous life up in out on up in here in the cindominium.  Scratchy if he could would surely have ripped his travelling cage asunder, as he did the tri-wall cardboard box right in the car that brought him into Cin's life from the SPCA lo those many years ago.

But Scratchy like your humble narrator is older now - 'but time makes you bolder' Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac sing it better in their immor(t)al Landslide, 'even children get older / and I'm getting older too' - no longer smashes down ever wall that impedes him on his way : once caught, like your humble narrator, he knew the jig / was up, and only emitted one long wailing cry up on down on up downstairs in the lobby during their prisoner transfer this morning.  Course that one plaintive cry was of course, like one of Bob Marley's back-up band, surely / a wailer.

Day One of the cats' new / old life is of course all about / the sleeping, like their room-mate, Himself, these cats absorb changes slowly after one too many cat-fights and tom-catting episodes and hair-raising (b) / (m) / (s) / (gl) and just plain / adventures.  Itchy and Scratchy will come to tomorrow, like Himself after going cold cold turkey and all of a suddenly under horroRegime Zero, and realize that there are no longer any frogs to chase, no longer any local thug cats to brawl with, and no one - man, animal, or manimal - to not fight them with, except your man Himself, from here / on in.  Coming to after going cold cold turkey and all of a suddenly under horroRegime Zero, and realizing that there are no longer any frogs to chase, no longer any local thug cats to brawl with, and no one - man, animal, or manimal - to not fight them with, except your man Himself, from here / on in is all / we gots.

And like your man Himself, though the cats Itchy and Scratchy are Boney M-otherfu©kers, skinny as hell after their three month stint / in Luskvegas on the Quebe© side at their M and P’s place - having had to scrap for scraps with the local talent, the fe®al cats RoFo and Two Socks, not to mention the family of raccoons, one of whom made a cameo two nights out on up on out on up out in Luskvegas, after an absence of at least a month, bastard now the size of a large dog - they are also resilient as all get out, and after having their feline fantasies of this Tuesday evening, they will sleep it off, like Cin , trying and failing to slough off the endless d®amas and t®aumas both of the day.  And they, like your man M. during the Ten Year (Ten Day -id.), after recounting a string of horror stories that would mortally wound mere mortals, even in the hearing of them, they will not, after witnessing such trauma - 'I have witnessed atrocities / I have ' your man the soldier said it better during a cinversation long ago of his own / war stories, 'committed / atrocities' -  'lose any sleep / over it.'

'Are you glad,' Cin akses the cats better now, 'to be home, skinny?'  Both doze off immediately after waking from their dreams of whatever it is that cats / dream of, 'do Androids dream' the novelist Philip K. Dick titled his book that would later be turned into the screenplay for Ridley Scott's Bladerunner, 'of electric sheep?'

'Secrets' Homer says it better to Bart during one of their / episodes, apropos of the shaky architectural underpinning of this Dog / and Pony Show, 'and lies', and Homer as always is right.  Yes dear reader, in between the prisoner transfers and cat-napping and traumatic move back into town and the cindominium this morning following their three-month gig / in Luskvegas, Cin and your men the cats Tom and Jerry went also to their twenty-five year (Jesus Christ, a quarter / cintury – innit Electrified JC, and welcome / back to this Take This Thing back to Baltimore me-moirs and ext®eme / prejudi©e -id.) high school / re-union.

Like one of the heroines of Lloyd Kaufman's (?) 'Return to Nuke 'em High', who says in that film, 'I can't wait', after videeing her classmate's head / explode because next door to the nu©lear power plant, 'to get home and blog / about this', your humble / humbled / humiliated narrator has been all kind of cintending to write all about his 25th high-school reunion - 'in College it was a little' Cin said it better to one of said classmates, of the uncertainty in University of what Year exactly it was that / you  graduated, 'more fluid' - and even used a variation on this very line from 'Return to Nuke 'em High' even in last night's edition of this Take This Thing Back to Baltimore me-moirs and ext®eme / pejudi©e, before during and after  the d®ama / t®auma got the better of him, and he just started hulk-smashing away at God / knows what, innit God, 'good artists borrow', Picasso said it better, 'great artists / steal.'

What it is is that some twenty-five years ago (and several months, if me-moir serves, which between all the pills and d®ugs and the booze and the cincussions, and we weren’t that bright / to begin with, innit DD, it doesn't - wait, wtf was he on about, oh yeah / always), a group of fresh-faced kids were given their Ontia®ia®ia®ia®io Secondary School Diplomas and sent out up on out on up on out on up into / the wo®ld.  (You must use your cindoor / city voice when calling to the cats up on out on up in the cindominium as you did just now, rather than the voice as big as all / outdoors that you've become accustomed to use up on out on up out in the woods, -id., you can take the boy out Luskvegas, but you can't take Luskvegas out / the boy.)

It was the best of times, Charles Philip K. Dickens wrote it better in his immor(t)al A Tale of / Two Cities - and has been given shout-outs ad naseum ever / since for it, more certainly often than anyone gives credit where credit is due for any / one  of Cin's bons mots up on out on up on out in the endless pages and pixels of this Take This Thing Back to Baltimore me-moirs and ext®eme / p®ejudi©e - it was the worst / of times.  ©in refers of course to the horrors / of high school, 'the thrill of victory' the first half of the slogan for TV's 'ABC's Wide World / of Sports' said it better from that era - yes it was / the '80s, people, which was also of course the motif for the costume party held last Saturday night for his 25th year class, 'it's hard enough to get one person to do anything' Cin said it better in a round-about way of complimenting the organizers, 'much less / 35', and yes, BC, Cin used the line from that other '80s-themed party we went to at ©lub Midd, 'you're looking fine / for the '80s', and she was - 'the agony / of defeat'.

'You promised' Cin said it better to your man AH, one of their classmates and one of the organizers, and of course one of Cin's best mates, then as now, giving him / the gears as is Cin's wont - 'I cintend to speak to you very frankly' the actor playing Senator Geary (he plays the CIA spook in Apocalypse Now) says it better and to the same effect and for the same reasons, in Coppola's The Godfather Part Two to Michael Corleone, cintax / is Cin's, 'more frankly perhaps than you are / accustomed to' -  after videeing the attendees at the first 25th re-union shin-dig of the week-end, this one held last TGIFFriday night at a bar on Bank Street, innit G, that 'HV and SA would / be here', referring of course to the hotties of the class then, and probably / now.

'Point' Homer again says it better to Bart - the 'birds' part of his 'birds and bees' speech to his son - 'and shoot', and so it is with us manimals up on out on up on out on this Dog and Pony show, the average male of the species thinks horny thoughts every eight seconds, Cin read once, much more frequently whilst living under the forced dry haha -humping cinstraints (constraints, and that's / enough whingeing -id.) of horro®egime Ze®o.  His class of 1989 had mad good teachers and got a fantastic 'edumucation' as Homer says it - for the third and last time in this edition of this Take This Thing Back to Baltimore me-moirs and ext®eme / p®ejudi©e - better, but all that he cares about 25 years later is what ladies / showed up.

Impressive ladies - and gentlemen -  is what.  There were three doctors in the class of 75 (now up to 140 according to the graduating senior at the alumni round-ball game on Saturday, sorry perfesser, they've outlawed / ®ugby) - 'pilots' a relative tried to sell Cin on the idea of a month-long Ten Day a couple of years ago during the early days / years / decades of Part I of this Take This Thing Back to Baltimore me-moirs and ext®me / p®ejudi©e, referring to the demographic of the 28-day p®og®am, and its disqualifying $6500.00 / tab haha, 'and doctors' for some reason these types are given precedence in our society, as Cin / just did, 'let 'em' Willie Nelson sings it better in his 'Mama, Don't let your babies grow up to be / cowboys', 'be doctors and lawyers, and such ' - and as many entrepreneurs, a local media personality ('you have a great voice for radio' one star-struck recent graduate said it better to now-TV host HA, after the round-ball alumni match on Saturday, to which Cin corrected her - he had to, it was the perfect set-up line, and Cin when AH gets these lines from these fans, whole scene was actually prefaced by the kid gushing 'my mother won't believe I played roundball' (it's soccer, if Himself won't bring himself / to say it –id.) 'with HA', is always standing right there - 'line is 'you have the perfect face / for radio'), and oh yeah, Himself.

Thanks for reading this Take This Thing Back to Baltimore me-moirs and ext®eme / p®ejudi©e.

12-01-2014      ®ules                      Once you've gone ®egime ze®o, it cinfiltrates your thinking in the most cinsidious / ways.   As a logical enough extension of Cin's decision of a Sunday not to be connected electronically to any of his devices in any way shape or form, a decision was made to go mute / as well.   Not a wo®d would escape / his word-hole.                 It's hard enough, like all Things at first, to shuddup a your face, to keep your two cents to yourself, to shut your gob, to fermer / la bouche.   But it's not / that hard, matter of fact it reduces - to ze®o that four-lettered wo®d - the percintage of saying something of such rank stupidity that you regret it even before the words have left / your wo®dhole.   'I doubt you've ever had a stupid thou...
