‘It’s a game’ Derek
Jeter said it better of his chosen profession baseball, and of his habit not to
watch old / just-played games, ‘of failu®e’.
It’s a good as slogan / as any, Cin will videe / edit older editions of
this Take This Thing Back to Baltimore me-moirs and (f) / (s) / (b) /
plan (c) log ‘when’ deNiro’s Neal McAuley says it better in Michael Mann’s Heat - referring to his lack of a wife and / or
furniture when reminded of the same by his partner in crime Chris Hurliess,
played by Val Kilmer - ‘I get around / to it’, but for now cinstead he will
keep hulk-smashing away at this Take This Thing Back to Baltimore
me-moirs and (f) / (s) / (b) / Plan (c) log, and leave the navel-gazing to the
navel / gazers.
Last night - like some
of his d®inking escapades that cinvolved horroreprucussions coming home to
roost the following afternoon, after a night / of drinking, as opposed to the
night / itself, and in so doing breaking one of the cinvioable ®ules / of
d®inking, namely that there are two ®ules to black-out drinking, one that if
you can’t remember it, it didn’t / happen, and two that if you can’t remember
it, it probably / happened - didn’t
count, Cin hulk-smashed away the date, or rather had Big Mac do it, but that
was all as the saying goes , (s)he wrote of a WTFednesday evening up on out on
out on up in here. It’s a game / of
failu®e, this (f) / (s) / (b) blogging business, or flat-out / cindifference,
but Cin’s after hulk-smashing away at it again, hulk-smashing away at it again
is all / we gots.
Yes as summer turns to
Fall – ‘it’s getting later’ their ©ollege ®ugby ©lub captain said it better, to
a cacophony of sniggers, ‘earlier’ and ‘it’s pitch black’ Cin said it better
somewhat more recently, ‘by 9 / o’clock’ – Cin has fallen back into the
clutches of his new BFF, MLB aka Major League Baseball. MLB has regained a fair-weather fan in Cin,
who recalls watching games in Vermont before, during, and after his long time at
©ollege there. ‘Is this,’ Cin would aks
you better, innit Floyd, before during and after one inning or play-off, or
World Series or another, ‘America ?’ to which you as always humoured him,
answering ‘yes’, humouring him and answering ‘yes’ is all / we gots.
Course the Toronto
Blue Jays lost tonight to the Yankees, ‘unless you score’ the priceless
commentator comments it better in what will surely be the last word that Cin
hears this evening out his word-hole, ‘you can’t / win’. Still, your man Bautista of the Blue Jays hit
a home run in the losing cause, and
banged his bat right into the turf on the way to first base after admiring his
handi-work fly right out / the park. It
was a nice touch, defiant, a nice touch, defiant is all / we gots.
Cin made a similar
gesture to his Rugby Club coach some time ago after scoring an unlikely try,
pumping his fist in the general direction of the sidelines, innit FR, scoring
an unlikely try and pumping our fists in the general direction of the sidelines
is all / we gots. ‘You can’t bench us’
Flash said it better to the Coach, speaking on behalf of himself and Cin both,
grizzled veterans not yet entirely without pride, ‘we’re / ©intemporaries ‘
(©ontemporaries / of Cin –id.), more on that / later in Part III of this Take
This Thing Back to Baltimore me-moirs and (f) / (s) / (b) / plan (c) log,
aka Twin Elm, or In Mobile, aka The Season Course being cintemporaries never stopped
Coach from doing / just that – and nor should it - ‘he said’ a team-mate said
it better to Cin after the time that Coach neglected to put Cin into a
long-since decided match, even for a cameo, ‘that he forgot’, to which Cin
could only reply, ‘well maybe I’ll forget to go / to training’, and so / he
did, and the Troubles / began / again, ‘he ran away’ Cin said it better after his
fellow hound ®IP’ed in a foreign country far from loved ones, ‘from support’,
quoting ®ugby ©lub ®ule # 1 Do Not Do - it’s a lesson that Cin’s trying to
learn not / to repeat, though between all of the booze and the cincussions and
we weren’t that bright / to begin with, innit DD, he’s not always after / succeeding - not
running away from support is all / we gots.
Course what we really
all need is ‘stunt doubles’, like those tag-team wrestlers up on out on up on
the WWE Main event, innit monsieur debonaire.
These guys WWE are mad creative to still be around, and who knows the
definition of a stunt double for folks who make their living jumping off ropes
and smashing chairs over one another (where can he / sign up ? –id ), but it’s
a good conceit, the wrestlers primping and combing their hair like so many
backs, innit monsieur debonaire, while the stunt doubles fling themselves from
the ring like the forwards that they / are.
Cin of course is his creator’s stunt / double, or is it the other way /
around, having a stunt double, or is it the other way / around is all / we
gots, ‘spell Eminem backwards’ the rapper of the same name raps it better,
Eminem itself a nom-de-po®n, ‘it’s ‘mini-me’’, another nom / de po®n.
And at this point of a Thirstday evening, and
they never get any less or more / thi®sty, here your humble / humbled /
humiliated narrator would cinstruct his stunt double to keep on hulk-smashing
away at this edition of this Take This Thing Back to Baltimore (f) / (b)
(s) / Plan (c) log on all of their / behalfs - it is perhaps what he (they ? !
–id.) has / have been doing for the last 875 pages of this Take This Thing
Back to Baltimore me-moirs and (f) / (b) / (s) / Plan (c) log up on out on
up on out up in here - but alas this paragraph will be all (s)he / they wrote
of this Thirsty Thursday evening, it’s butt cold up on out on up on out up
here, and Cin and his stunt double don’t much like / butt cold. Plus he’s an ill / cat.
Thanks for reading
this Take This Thing Back to Baltimore me-moirs and (f) / (b) / (s) /
Plan (c) log .
