2014-11-20 Koyaanisqatsi

2014-11-20         Koyaanisqatsi

There is a new word people up on out on up on out on up up here, and that word / is 'Koyaanisqatsi'.  Not for the first - or last - time during the course of hulk-smashing away at these Take This Thing Back to Baltimore me-moirs and Koyaanisqatsi , Cin is certain that he's videed a Thing before, and then went on and on and on about it, only to 'forget' - What Would Jack Say as Jack Torrence to wife Wendy in Kubrick’s take on your The Shining, innit Mr. King - 'that the whole god-damned Thing / ever happened.'

What it is that Koyaanisqatsi the movie by Godfrey Reggio seems to have ambitions as lofty as its name and that of / its director might cindicate.  Cin prefers 'seems to' because, well, there is / no plot.  Various forms of footage have been put together, and then slowed-down and / or sped up, and then put to music by Philip Glass, this last bit Cin can envision taking place as Mr. Glass too videes the film and then writes / orchestrates the score at the same time, not all that unlike what transpires during the hulk-smashing of this Take This Thing Back to Baltimore me-moirs and Koyaanisqatsi.

Course all of Cin's fellow horroreviewers have an opinion on what 'Koyaanisqatsi' - the word is from the Hopi language, and translates to 'crazy life' and / or 'life  out / of balance', not unlike the subtitles of this Take This Thing Back to Baltimore  me-moirs and Koyaanisqatsi  - is all / about, that is after all why we're paid the vast sums, to have / opinions.  It's too late into the week and into what passes for Cin's so-called life and what's left / of his so-called mind though to go on and on about what a film with no dialogue and no plot might be on / about, but it's a stunning thing / to watch, being too late into the week and into what passes for Cin's so-called life and what's left / of his so-called mind but still being a stunning thing / to watch is all / we gots.

Cin just belched one that sounded not unlike the Hopi / Tibetan chants that run their way through this film to accompany Philip Glass's soundtrack, also stunning, but not stunning enough to prevent Cin from Muting Tosh the TV set as Glass and Godfrey go on and on during the Extras bit and calling instead upon the services of Bose the wireless Bluetooth speaker, which is sleek oh my little droogies, as all / get out.

What it is is that your man Bose the wireless bluetooth speaker is powered by Tosh the laptop's USB cable, and has that ubiquitous robot English lady from the 'O' train just West of here, and from cinnumerable GPS dashboard units, doing its audio work for it, 'connected' she / it says - he kids you not - 'to Tosh', for Cin called Tosh the laptop the same officially apparently.

What's spewing out the speaker now, mind, like the clouds spewing out the volcano range on Tosh the TV set, is music from your man Usher, today's soundtrack of course brought to you by the letter 'U' - for 'Ukraine', the military spells it out better, he kids / you not - it's all strip club music / from what Cin's heard so far, he thought it different before he hit 'play', thinking it different before hitting 'play' is all / we gots.

Thanks for reading this Take This Thing Back to Baltimore me-moirs and Koyaanisqatsi .

12-01-2014      ®ules                      Once you've gone ®egime ze®o, it cinfiltrates your thinking in the most cinsidious / ways.   As a logical enough extension of Cin's decision of a Sunday not to be connected electronically to any of his devices in any way shape or form, a decision was made to go mute / as well.   Not a wo®d would escape / his word-hole.                 It's hard enough, like all Things at first, to shuddup a your face, to keep your two cents to yourself, to shut your gob, to fermer / la bouche.   But it's not / that hard, matter of fact it reduces - to ze®o that four-lettered wo®d - the percintage of saying something of such rank stupidity that you regret it even before the words have left / your wo®dhole.   'I doubt you've ever had a stupid thou...
