1/3/2024 One mo®e for / the dit©h
(hooky please, -id.), in the
name of being woke that four-lettered word and as a New Year’s ®evolution, from
here on / in the failsafe used to keep (y)our man ©in the humble(d) narrator of
(t)his Take This Thing Back to Baltime-moi®es and hooky please honest –
namely his id – will be referred to as hooky before during and after the same’s
frequent intrusions into the same be©ause keeping ©in’s ego / honest, hooker
please was all / we gots.
Course it’s a little late to
be after making New Yea®’s ®evolutions be©ause it’s 2024 already – ‘write’ is
(y)our man ©in’s perennial New Year’s ®evolution ve®b, and ‘more’ its’
eve®g®een adve®b – but replacing hooke® with hooky that five-lettered wo®dle
will have / to do, that along with playing / the piano again be©ause
the®apeuti©, as well as the eve®g®een balan©ing / (y)our book$ and no®malizing
/ (y)our ®elationships both, w®iting / mo®e is all / we gots.
Those New Yea®’s ®evolutions,
and taking a stroll that five-lettered wo®dle apparently down memo®y / lane,
and doesn’t (t)his WTFednesday afte®
find (y)our man ©in hulk-smashing away at (t)his Take This Thing Back
to Balti-memoi®es and hooky please at this B®idgehead ©offee house edition
up on out on up on out on up on out on up on O-Town’s Richmond Road, in the
vi©inity of (y)our man ©in’s pre-®egime ze®o favorite haunts, where he would
surely be after finding himself of a
WTFednesday after like this one before during and after the hal©yon p®e-®egime
ze®o days and nights and de©ades, ‘whoever left this bag’, read the Post-It
note left inside (y)our man ©in’s travelling bag – found just around / the
corner from here, and where (y)our man ©in had left it before during and after
a more typically f®igid WTFednesday evening than this one, and returned to its’
owner after several nerve-w®a©king weeks and the replacement of several pieces
of identification also left in the bag – ‘must have been terribly / d®unk’,
nerve-w®a©king weeks is all / we gots.
Still / and all, you can see
the need that four-lettered wo®d for a taxpayer to be after getting pie-eyed at
Agave of a WTFednesday, half-a-blo©k from here and under new / management since
some time after the implementation of ®egime ze®o for one of the restaurant’s
ba®flies, this guy, ‘at least’, (y)our man ©in said it better to his d®oog Ye®©ut
off – before during and after being accused by the same of carrying on
cinve®sations with that ba®post holding up / the wood at Agave, innit Ea®thly
J© – ‘the post / listens’, be©ause the weather gunmetal grey up on out on up on
out on up in here in O-Town from
Novembe® to Ap®il, listening is all / we gots.
As his p®e-®egime ze®o MO /
Modus Ope®undai (hooky please, -id., it’s ‘ Ope®andi ‘ , and it’s an integral
part of (y)our man ©in’s cat©hph®ase of re©ognition for when ‘our shti©k
be©omes / our MO’, in other words for when our pe®fo®mative ho®sing / around
be©omes / the no®m), (y)our man ©in would be after seeking out – and more often
successfully than you might think – a hard copy version of his beloved New Yo®k
Times of an overcast WTFednesday evening like this one, and before during and
after catching him the O©T®anspo red-and-white limo, the bus, from work that
four-lettered wo®d, to Agave, the Mexican place whose cent®al-ish O-Town
location made it the perfect / p®ey for (y)our man ©in’s eve®g®een quest to
find him a lo©al wate®ing hole be©ause O-Town gunmetal g®ey for months / on
end, when (y)our shti©k be©omes / (y)our MO is all / we gots.
Course Agave was hardly the only game / in
town up on out on up on out on up on out on up on out on up on out on up in
here in O-Town, but it fulfilled / the ©®ite®ia of a lo©al wate®ing hole that
four-lettered wo®d for (y)our man ©in, seeing as that it was on the O©T®anspo
red-and-white limo / bus ®outes for the Number Two, and in a pin©h the mighty
®oute Number 14 to boot, the # 2 and # 14 ®outes of course both a ‘sea’, (y)our
man ©in described them better to who(m)ever would listen (no one / listens), ‘ of
hu(wo)manity’, pe®fo®mative ho®sing /
around is all / we gots.
And even before during and
after ®egime / ze®o commenced for (y)our man ©in, a decade and change ago, it
was p®oximity to the same O©t®anspo bus routes that led (y)our man ©in to be
after signing up – and then waiting, and then waiting / some more, and then
failing / out be©ause getting all kinds / of li©quo®ed up only days before
during and after being accepted, and then signing up / again, and then ®insing
/ and ®epeating – for the local ®ehab that five-lettered wo®dle outfit, at
Rideauwood In©. (f®ee ! flog, it worked) , just around / the corner from here
as well be©ause of ‘the direct route’, (y)our man ©in would try / and fail to
mansplain (t)his linea® logi© better to his fellow-sufferers – ‘my fellow
traveller’, the actor Chris Pine described it better in the movie version of Dungeons and Dragons of co-star Michelle Rodriguez, who
plays a hard-drinking warrior, and plays it / well, ‘to ®o©k-bottom’
- on the bus’ before during and after
being aksed ‘ How ©omes You all ended up / here ? ‘ by staff at the well-lo©ked
down ®ideauwood facilities, most memorably of course by the counsellor who
would aks (y)our man ©in and his fellow-sufferers how d®inking and / or
d®ugging themselves morning noon and night was ‘working out / for you’, and
using her index finger for emphasis à la Little Danny Torrence in Kubrick’s
take on your The
Shining, innit Mr.
King, and conversing as we do with not-so-imaginary friend Tony in that movie, and
as (y)our man ©in used to do with the pillar holding up / the wood at Agave
be©ause lonely, innit Ye®©utoff, ®o©k-bottom ®insing / and
®epeating is all / we gots.
Course before during and
after finding himself accepted into the Ten-Day at ®ideauwood In©. (f®ee ! flog
fo®eve®, ‘best ©lass’, (y)our (wo)men the counsellors dared / to nominate us at
the graduation from the same, ever?’ ) – ten days of nine-to-five wo®k that
four-lettered wo®d of going on and on and on about (y)our How Does It Feelings
and all / that, preceded as we do by months of Thi®stday nights between 19h00
and 21h00, and they never get any / more or any / less thi®sty – Pa®ts One /
and Two, it was up / and down ®i©hmond ®oad that (y)our man ©in would be after
bouleva®ding be©ause thi®sty as all get out as we do, hauling around his b®own
cloth b®ief case and a hard copy of the New Yo®k Times both, like Linus from Peanuts
and his blankie, and looking for love that four-lettered wo®d in all the w®ong
/ pla©es, ‘Lo®d’, the waitstaff at the various dives and ba®s up and down
O-Town’s Elgin Street used to call another boulevardier ©infamous for haunting
their establishments, ‘Elgin’, bouleva®ding
is all / we gots.
‘He’s talking with Davey’,
(y)our (piano)man Billy Joel sings it better in his d®inking anthem of the same
name, and apropos the ba®flies of the same, ‘who’s still in / the Navy’, and
wasn’t (y)our man ©in after making new / friends – ‘I’ve seen people / killed’,
(y)our man the ex-soldier at that faux-I®ish bar downtown said it better and
apropos / the same, ‘I’ve killed / people’ -
boulevarding as we do in O-Town before during and after the hal©yon
p®e-regime ze®o days and nights / and de©ades (that’s enough, -id.) and laying
/ his head of an evening at the various places up / and down Richmond Road that
he called home that four-lettered wo®d (hooky please, -id.) before during and
after the early / aughts and coinciding of course with his Di®ty / Thi®ties,
the piano man is all / we gots.
‘My house’, (y)our (wo)man
the(ir) fellow-film reviewer and Bridgehead elevenquarantweenscreamqueen (hooky
please, -id.) neighbor at the table next door screams it now better – and
apropos the difficulty she encountered before during and after videeing Denis
Villeneuve’s reboot of Frank Herbert’s Dune in her nearby Westboro parents’ home
entertainment basement because loud that four-lettered word – ‘was / shaking’,
and wasn’t (y)our man ©in after trying / and failing to stay / home of a
gunmetal grey WTFednesday evening before during and after the hal©yon
p®e-®egime ze®o days and nights and decades, and videeing as we do movies on
various home entertainment units up and down ®i©hmond ®oad, ‘straight / home’,
(y)our man his ba®keep at Agave used to try / and fail to convince (y)our man
to do just that, innit Les, and not before during and after serving (y)our man ©in as many
Beau’s draft beers as he could / down, and followed by as many shots / of tequila
as we do, ‘one more’ (y)our man the(ir) uncle Ken ®IP used to call night©aps,
‘for the dit©h’, straight / home is all / we gots.
Course these movies won’t
watch / themselves, and won’t (y)our man ©in imminently be after making a
de©ision as to whether or not to videe the ©rite®ion Colle©tion.©om of (t)his
WTFednesday evening - before during and after a rare-enough evening spent in O-Town
at the ©indominium – or to head to the Nuden be©ause N-wo®d ®i©h, as thei®
forebearers god forgive them, innit god,
used to call it for the night right after payday be©ause ©ash ®i©h, one
more for / the dit©h is all / we gots.
Thank you for reading (t)his Take This Thing Back to Baltime-moi®es and one
more for / the dit©h.
