2014-10-26 A hooker's drink

2014-10-26      A hooker's drink

'A stinger', William Hurt's Detective Renko says it better to his KGB handlers in Michael Apted's take on Martin Cruz Smith's 'Gorky Park' – before during and after after being fed the same line from Brian Dennehy's New York Cop in the Stockholm airport bar only minutes ago - 'is / a hooker's drink', and 'she's not' your man ©in's Da said it better to the waitress / manager at the Toronto airport hotel this morning, after being aksed whether he would be joined this morning for breakfast by his wife, minutes after being fed the same line by their Ma, aka his very own selfsame wife, 'is not a breakfast / person', a hooker's drink is all / we gots.

It was an adequate breakfast - 'nothing' Cin said it better yesterday, 'to write home about'- though of course, as the aformentioned previous paragraph can attest, it was.  Turns out that the aformentioned restaurant manager, after very little prodding - 'I see' that kid in M. Night Shayham (hooker please –id.) says it better in The Sixth Sense says it better, 'dead people', and people tell / ©in / things, 'you have' a homeless (blind ? -id.) lady told Cin better, 'a trustworhy / face' - let Cin know that, of all of the people up on out on up on out on up on out on up on this Dog and Pony Show who could have been car-jacked last Wednesday morning on Parliament Hill by the maniac who shot the soldier at the War Memorial not five minutes from here, and then shot up Parliament Hill, that person happened to have been her brother / in law.

He was, and remains, in a state of what sounds like PTSD of a sort, your man and the manager's brother-in-law is still hiding from the media requests, his carjacked vehicle still in police custody up on out on up on out on up up in here, along with his wallet and id, he needs apparently to be removed as / a suspect in the whole tragedy.

Cin  left a $5 tip for the waitress / manager for this story, before during and after the twenty that he gave to the guy at the Toronto airport the day before, while both were waiting for the hotel shuttle last Friday after, at the end of his own story.  What it is is that after being 'away', for some time (©in di'nt / aks), your man had gone the night before Cin videed him on Friday after, to see his girlfriend ('girl' -id.) in downtown Toronto - if there is such / a thing, it took them an hour and a half of driving at 120 kms / hour to see the end of Toronto, this after - only she had other plans.

'I've broken my nose' your man told Cin - after Cin aksed him if he wanted / a smoke as they waited for the aforementioned / shuttle, and your man replied that he'd never 'smoked a cigarette' or 'taken a drink in my life', before minutes later pointing at  his burlap sack and offering ©in ' a belt' - 'seven times', and from one pugilist and floggist and brawler and drinker to another ©in knew that it was no word / of a lie.  Your man's initial question to ©in was whether 'there is stuff / running out / my nose?' to which ©in had replied 'no', only half-lying, but recognizing the other signs of a pugilist - the black-eye, the broken cheek, the bloodied / blue jeans, the arm held / at an angle - 'but you're gonna have / the hell of / a shine®', the hell of / a shiner is all / we gots.

Good times.  Though your man at the airport bus stop - a one-time NHL player if his story / holds water, of which Cin has little doubt, your man ©in's own grand-father played a season in that self-same league back in the day, amassing a record of 0 goals, 0 assists, and 200 + penalty minutes, which ©in could appreciate, it was similar to his own statistics during one of the latter years of his rugby career - was of half of what's left of his mind to have it out with ©in before during and after his cinsolent replies, but like Melville's Bartleby the Scribner, innit perfesser, he chose / not to.

And no wonder, ©in might have been born at night, but it wasn't / last night, plus he's been itching for a fight for about three lifetimes (years - id.) now ever since the beginning of ®egime Ze®o, though he swears up and down he's all kind of saintly now -'it looks like' the guy in stir (for counterfeiting of all things) said it better to ©in that April Fools' and Easter ©ombo of a  l    o   n   g     week-end long ago that never ended, when he went cold ©old ©old tu®key oh my brothers and sisters, 'you're looking for a fresh start', then after looking ©in up and down and all é his s©a®s, 'but not that / fresh'- plus your man at the airport was a mess, you could tell that it had taken him twenty minutes to change his t-shirt that morning and would take him just as long to get / it off.

Soon the details came out, as they must.  After showing up and / or on the way to his girl's place the night(s) before, your man was set up, and then set upon, and set upon / hard.  "It was only one guy' your man said it better, with grudging admiration - there is honour among thieves, and appreciation for a good thumping / among thumpe®s - 'and he must have had' he added, pointing with bent fingers to his busted-up cheek, 'a weapon'.  No doubt son.

There were cock-and-bull elements within your man's story - as there are surely cock-and-bull elements within this edition and others of this Take This Thing Back to Baltimore me-moirs and a hooker`s / d®ink, believe it, the Ripley people have it better, 'or not' - such as the touch about your man starting off on the subway earlier in the day, but deciding to get off at the airport stop for the final leg of the trip to 'the hotel', compliments  of the free shuttle bus, because 'people were looking at me funny' on the subway.  This may have been true to a point, as your man had dried blood all over his face / and clothes, but wore / it well from long experience, having dried blood all over our face and clothes but wearing it well from long experience is all / we gots.

Still ©in promised to let your man's triple-A hockey coach up on out on up on out on up out here in O-town that he saw your man, and he will, and to let him know that he's still / above ground and breathing, above ground and breathing is all / we gots.  'He wrote an auto-biography' your man from the airport said it better of his coach - these names are 'assupposed to cause ©in to fall on his knees in reverence to hockey legends, but he recognized neither, Cin approaches fanhood with scepticism, he has performed in the gladiator ring before far too many times in far too many empty / stadiums to feel / otherwise, 'I care as much about these guys' de Niro`s character said it better in A Bronx Tale about local sports idols, 'as they care / about me', which of course is not / at all - 'and I was in two paragraphs'.  Yeah and now you're in three more in another me-moirs son.

Your man gave up waiting for the hotel shuttle soon after the aforementioned cinversation, and Cin gave him a twenty to give him / a fighting chance, a fighting chance is all / we gots, though twenty won't get you far, it was a warm afternon, and your man copacestic, nothing Cin hasn't seen / before.  It could have been more - 'and a credit card' your man couldn't help himself / but to add, after Cin handed him the twenty, his decision to cap it at twenty justified by your man's cinevitable final line - The End.

Course that was days ago, the equivalent of several life-times in the ever-examined, ever-anticipated, ever-exiting life of a (f) / (b) / (c) logger / me-moirist living under ®egime Ze®o.  What kind of (f) / (b) / (c) logger, you might aks it better, goes on an air trip without the tool(s) / of his trade?  A flogger, is Cin's only answer, who if he never sees another computer in his life, it will be / too soon.

Yes dear reader, your humble / humbled / humiliated narrator left the cinfines of the cindominium for not one, but two days, up on out on up on out on up out here, and left your (wo)man Tosh the laptop at home to look out for Things / in his absence.  Iron Mike was 'assupposed to come by at some point during the week-end, but from the looks of the place when Cin returned never did, there will be a cock-and-bull story on Cin's telephone about it when he checks in on Just Another Manic Monday, coming up in 14 minutes and counting down.  Like the way your father did you, Electrified JC, Cin has forsaken his gadgets of a Sunday as is his wont as of late , if he never sees another e-mail or phone again it will be / too soon, 'some folks call it Hell' your man Slingblade says it better, 'I call it / Hades.'

Oh yeah and there were business meetings to attend - 'not' Cin said it not better the last time that he went to these family business meetings some years ago, 'a cintervention' - and other stories, 'and I' Sean Connery's Brother William of Baskerville said it better to Christian Slater's novice in Jean-Jacques Annaud's take on Umberto Eco's The Name of the Rose, before during and after going on some (s) / (b) / (m) and just plain / adventures of Brother WIlliam's own in the abbey that film, 'have much / to tell', but it won't be this evening, this evening after much travelling and anecdote-accumulating, ©in is near / death.

®IP Jack Bruce, Cream's bassist : I've been down / since I was able to crawl / if it wasn't for bad luck / I wouldn't have any luck / at all.

Thanks for reading this Take This Thing Back to Baltimore me-moirs and a hooker`s / d®ink.

12-01-2014      ®ules                      Once you've gone ®egime ze®o, it cinfiltrates your thinking in the most cinsidious / ways.   As a logical enough extension of Cin's decision of a Sunday not to be connected electronically to any of his devices in any way shape or form, a decision was made to go mute / as well.   Not a wo®d would escape / his word-hole.                 It's hard enough, like all Things at first, to shuddup a your face, to keep your two cents to yourself, to shut your gob, to fermer / la bouche.   But it's not / that hard, matter of fact it reduces - to ze®o that four-lettered wo®d - the percintage of saying something of such rank stupidity that you regret it even before the words have left / your wo®dhole.   'I doubt you've ever had a stupid thou...
